From 2 July 2023, we have operated online
Our journey takes its final twist. After operating at markets, part time, from a greenhouse, a shipping container, full time, bricks and mortar shop and then online, we are finally closing our doors at the end of July 2024. The stock now showing on the website is all we have left, so grab it while you can. A small display remains in Made in Ashford until 31 July.
We have loved serving the community in Ashford, sourcing low- or no-packaging goods for your kitchens and homes. We'll meet again!
How we work
While in the past we have sold the naked product, in paper bags or your own containers, we no longer have the facilities to do that. Going forward, food will be packaged.
However, the majority of food items will be supplied in NatureFlex compostable film, in resealable foil and paper bags, or bags that are recyclable at the supermarket.
Worried about 'bulk'? 1 kg is only a regular bag of sugar or a large packet of pasta. If you're still not sure why not split your shop with a friend or neighbour.
Collection and Delivery
We can deliver locally (+10 miles of TN23) or pickup can be arranged from our central Ashford home. Most of the stock will not be held on site but ordered in especially for you, so it will always be fresh.
For that reason, lead times can be up to two weeks depending on when your order comes in. If an order for food is received by Monday noon, it will generally arrive on Wednesday and will be available for collection straight away, but if it's liquid (cleaning/toiletries), the wait could be on the longer side.
